One of the most influential restaurants in Burbank is The Smoke House! The Smoke House was built in 1946 at the end of WWII. This restaurant was the "go to spot" for all actors! In fact, Bing Crosby and Bob Hope were regulars! The Smoke House was so very successful and was always filled with customers. It was built by the Warner Brothers lot. So, you can imagine the immediate popularity! The owners of The Smoke House own the warehouse restaurant which opened in 1969 in Marina Del Rey, California as well. This restaurant is just as filled with culture as their first one. If you have time, you should really visit both!
Craving for something sweet? Then head on over to Magnolia Blvd and check out Porto's Bakery! Located just a couple of miles from the AdMedia office, this wonderful bakery-slash-cafe offers some of the best sweets and pastries in all of Los Angeles – possibly even the whole Southern California! Try their famous cheese rolls, which are sweet, flaky pastries filled with delectable cream cheese—only at 70 cents a pop! Cakes by Porto's are also to die for. From sweet chocolate cakes to fruity ones, you'll be sure to find something to please your palette.
Not sure what you want to have on your lunch break? Then head west on Alameda over to The Pointe, a beautiful high rise building (just a mile away from the office!) that houses different kinds of gourmet food trucks from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM during weekdays. Every day is a scrumptious surprise at The Pointe's food truck site so if you can't decide what to eat or if you want to taste a little bit of everything then this is certainly the way to go.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg. There are plenty more places to eat at Burbank so be sure to look around. One of the perks of being located in the middle of everything is having access to everything! We're right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the excitement! Hey, we're not complaining!
